&lt;p&gt;When Gold&amp;#8217;s Gym opened near our dorm a few months ago, I initially didn&amp;#8217;t want to enroll. I already have free access in our dorm gym so I didn&amp;#8217;t really find the need to spend so much in another gym, until I was introduced to yoga that is. Of course, in our dorm gym, we don&amp;#8217;t have group exercise classes. It&amp;#8217;s just a treadmill, a cross trainer, a bike and a lot of machines for weights. A year of weights has been really fun and I don&amp;#8217;t regret starting but I&amp;#8217;ve become bulkier so I plan to lessen that and be more serious with yoga. I haven&amp;#8217;t done yoga in almost three weeks now I think and I&amp;#8217;m&lt;em&gt; sooo &lt;/em&gt;itching to get back! &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I plan to enroll in their package of 120 visits per year for Php15,500. Considering the breaks that I&amp;#8217;ll have for the next year, I&amp;#8217;ll be using the gym for around 3-4 times a week at that rate, which is just right for a student. I already checked out the classes and I&amp;#8217;m interested in joining hatha yoga, mat pilates and cycling. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I heard cycling and pilates are hardcore cardio workouts. Pilates, like yoga, will make me leaner and less bulky as well. I&amp;#8217;m kind of sick of running in the treadmill already so I plan to just run twice a week. Like running, I only plan to have weight training twice a week, and maybe I&amp;#8217;ll decrease the load of my weight and just increase the reps. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I&amp;#8217;m actually having a free trial of the gym on Friday. I&amp;#8217;m so excited! I plan to stay there for three hours, and attend 2 classes (cycling and hatha yoga!). I wish I could bring someone with me. My cardigans are tighter as well because of my biceps/triceps. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I don&amp;#8217;t know how I feel about this. I &lt;em&gt;know&lt;/em&gt; I got fitter over the summer. I feel very much lighter and healthier. I guess I just didn&amp;#8217;t think my weight training would work out this well.&lt;/p&gt;

It felt awesome. My nose wasn&amp;#8217;t runny at all. My throat was still itchy but I felt fine. Yaay! Good thing I read all those online articles saying that I should be just fine exercising if   the sickness is found from the neck up. Made me guilty as hell so I hit the gym instead of bumming around the house for another day.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I&amp;#8217;ve been doing a different workout lately. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;cardio: 15 mins high intensity interval training on cardio, 15 mins high intensity interval training on elliptical, and 15 mins steady workout on rowing machine&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;weights: daily interval of core, upper body, and lower body (I did core 2 days ago. Today I did upper body. Tomorrow lower body)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;yoga: MWF (that&amp;#8217;s the only available yoga classes in the gym)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;My workouts are a bit shorter now because I&amp;#8217;m trying to adjust to my would-be hectic school life again. I can&amp;#8217;t workout 3 hours a day anymore. &lt;p&gt;a bowl of sugar, a glass of milk and a piece of banana (if ever there&amp;#8217;s banana around). and a cup of coffee when I need a little boost in the morning.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;How much water do you drink each day?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I actually don&amp;#8217;t know D: &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;What is your current favorite workout?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;interval training is &amp;lt;3 less time on the machine, but more sweat. I can go crazy in the treadmill with this one.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;How many calories do you eat each day?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I actually don&amp;#8217;t know either :)) But the last time I checked I was at 1400-1500. My diet doesn&amp;#8217;t change that much whenever I&amp;#8217;m not on vacation or I&amp;#8217;m not stressed with school so that&amp;#8217;s probably an average for me. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;What are your favorite healthy snacks?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Oh god, peanuts. I &lt;em&gt;always &lt;/em&gt;eat peanuts after a workout, although my mom told me to cut back because it can cause pimples. Boo, huhu. Any thoughts on that? and oh yea, mangoes and bananas too. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;What do you usually eat for lunch?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Lunch is different for me almost every day. I always make sure I eat meals high in protein and low in fat though. Also, I don&amp;#8217;t eat rice anymore, so whenever I can I just replace my carb intake with bread, noodles or even puto (a Filipino delicacy). &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;What is your favorite body part to train?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;My legs. I love staring at my legs whenever I workout. It&amp;#8217;s so vain of me, I know but I just love how my quads, hamstrings and calves show whenever I&amp;#8217;m flexing :&amp;gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;What is your least favorite body part to train?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Least favorite body part&amp;#8230;Uhm my shoulders? I hate doing front raises, lateral raises or any kinds of raises actually. Also, I almost injured my rotator cuffs the other week so yes, my shoulders are a bitch. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;What are your “bad” food cravings?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Coffee!! I don&amp;#8217;t like brewed coffee so I opt for ones that are filled with sugar :| This is always my cheat drink. And I don&amp;#8217;t know what to do about it :(&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Do you take vitamins or supplements?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Occasionally, when my mom makes me. I&amp;#8217;m lazy and forgetful so I often skip taking them :))&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;How often do you eat out?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Oh god. Every lunch whenever I hit the gym because I have to wait for my parents to finish their work. If they have to work late, I end up eating dinner outside as well *sigh*&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Do you eat fast food?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I try not to. I&amp;#8217;m not big on fast foods, especially now that I&amp;#8217;m on summer break with my parents. I only eat in fast food chains whenever I&amp;#8217;m broke but I can last for a month without it. It&amp;#8217;s no biggie. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Who is your biggest supporter?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;My sister most likely. We&amp;#8217;re both health and gym rats and she was a student-athlete so she tells me whenever my form is wrong and she gives suggestions for my workouts. She tells me if I&amp;#8217;m eating too much already and I tell her when she&amp;#8217;s workout out too little :))&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Do you have a gym membership?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Yes, I do. When I&amp;#8217;m back in school, I have free access to our dorm gym as well so I&amp;#8217;m quite lucky, though I&amp;#8217;m thinking of enrolling to the Gold&amp;#8217;s Gym near our dorm for the yoga classes. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;How many hours of sleep do you get each night?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Seven when I know I have to workout the next day. Eight to ten when I don&amp;#8217;t lol.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Do you have a “cheat” day?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I don&amp;#8217;t think I have a cheat day. Probably when I&amp;#8217;m on vacation, those are my cheat days. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Do you drink alcohol?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;OH YES, I DO. This summer I&amp;#8217;ve been good to my body though so I haven&amp;#8217;t had a drop of alcohol in me for three months already. Doubt it&amp;#8217;s gonna last for long though cuz of all the sem starters we&amp;#8217;re planning already :))&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Do you have a workout buddy?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I guess my mom&amp;#8217;s my workout buddy, even though we don&amp;#8217;t workout together :)) My mom works out in the morning, like I do. My dad doesn&amp;#8217;t workout regularly because of his hectic schedule. My sister works out sometimes with us but she has to go with my dad to work so she&amp;#8217;s only around when my dad is. They workout together in the afternoon or night whenever they can. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;What is the best thing that has changed about your life since committing to a healthy lifestyle?&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Probably that light feeling. Idk how to describe it. Even when I can&amp;#8217;t see it in the scales yet, I feel like I&amp;#8217;m light and I can do anything. Just that feeling that you&amp;#8217;re body is clean and flushed from toxins is awesome &amp;lt;3&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Omg. I can&amp;#8217;t believe I succumbed to my thirst for Coke :(( I haven&amp;#8217;t been very strict with my diet but I&amp;#8217;ve really been trying to stick to my water, coffee, tea, milk and fruit shakes/juices as liquid source. It was really hot and I just couldn&amp;#8217;t take it. Coke has always tasted good on hot days. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I never really noticed how well or bad I was at balancing until one of my classmates in yoga pointed it out to me. Even though I wasn&amp;#8217;t flexible (which was understandable since  hello, first day of yoga class), she was impressed by how well I could balance certain standing poses. Something that I only noticed when I started observing other first-timers and newbies like me.&lt;/p&gt;

And that comes from someone who&amp;#8217;s more health-conscious than I am &lt;strike&gt;donteatthat&lt;/strike&gt; &lt;strike&gt;thathasagazillioncalories&lt;/strike&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I exercise 4 times a week, 3 hours a day, cardio and weights. I do yoga twice a week. I&amp;#8217;m not sure if I should be worried but I do know I should lighten up on the load since I&amp;#8217;m going to be starting school again in a month. My current schedule will be unrealistic to maintain. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;!-- more --&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I&amp;#8217;m not sure what to do though. I have to check the schedule for the yoga classes first in Gold&amp;#8217;s Gym. Here&amp;#8217;s my plan so far though:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Tuesday &amp;amp; Thursday: weights &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;My first class in the week is Tuesday so I&amp;#8217;ll probably be busy during these days. I think I&amp;#8217;ll stick to working out in our dorm gym during these days. An hour of weights will suffice.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Wednesdays &amp;amp; Friday: 2 rounds jogging around campus track oval&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Our campus track oval is around 2.2km long so two rounds will give me 4.4km to cover. This will be good training for me since I plan to participate in a 5k fun run soon. Also, my class ends pretty late on these days, 5:30pm, which is good for jogging. It&amp;#8217;s not going to be hot and there will be less cars in the campus. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Saturday: cardio (elliptical interval training 30 minutes), weights &amp;amp; yoga&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Hardest day. I will be in Gold&amp;#8217;s for this.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Monday &amp;amp; Sunday: yoga&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Semi-rest days. Gives me lots of time to cram for school.&lt;/p&gt;

I can stand hoarders who use the elliptical for an hour on peak hours. I can stand unhygienic people who seem to never notice their own body odor. But there are certain things that people do in the gym that makes me want to kick their balls or pull out their hair (depending on the gender of course).&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;1. GUYS WHO SWEAT SO MUCH AND DON&amp;#8217;T EVEN BOTHER TO WIPE WHATEVER THEY TOUCH&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;There&amp;#8217;s this guy in the gym who sweats so much whenever he&amp;#8217;s in the elliptical. I always dread seeing him because I know there&amp;#8217;s a high chance that I&amp;#8217;ll be using the same elliptical that he just basically &lt;em&gt;defiled. &lt;/em&gt;I&amp;#8217;m not even kidding. He literally leaves a pool of sweat around the machine and leaves the handles dripping with his sweat. What is disgusting :| Okay fine, he&amp;#8217;s on the heavier side so I should be more considerate but &lt;em&gt;maaan&lt;/em&gt;, just get a towel and wipe yourself! &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You know what, he actually has a towel but idk why he never uses it. Ugh. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;2. OLD WOMEN WHO TELL ME THAT THAT&amp;#8217;S &amp;#8220;THEIR SPOT&amp;#8221; IN CLASS WHEN I CLEARLY WAS THERE FIRST&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;Bitch, I was here first! &lt;/em&gt;was what I should have said. But she&amp;#8217;s kinda old, my mother old. And I wasn&amp;#8217;t about to make a scene. Even though it was really &lt;em&gt;my spot&lt;/em&gt;. I started yoga earlier than she did. I was out of the gym for a while the other week and when I came back there were new students. She was one of them. Ever since, she has claimed that spot &amp;#8220;hers&amp;#8221;.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;3. PEOPLE WHO STEP ON MY MAT AND TREADMILL&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;My mat, gray with three stripes, is clearly on the floor in front of you douchebags. I use it for yoga. My face is on that mat every other day. Do you want me to step on your face? &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;As for the treadmill, I don&amp;#8217;t mean when I&amp;#8217;m running or when&amp;#8217;s it on. I just mean when I&amp;#8217;m actually on it and getting ready to use it, then other people step on it to cross from one treadmill to another. &lt;p&gt;&lt;strike&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;/strike&gt;I tried to finish everything today, but I was just really &lt;em&gt;really&lt;/em&gt; tired. Wednesdays are usually my rest days so going to the gym on a Wednesday, after working out 2 days in a row already, is very exhausting for me.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Yoga today felt more rewarding than ever before. I was &lt;em&gt;so close &lt;/em&gt;(meaning I finally figured out what our instructor meant by &amp;#8220;lock your shoulders&amp;#8221; so I got the right form down, just the actual execution left lol) into doing the crane pose.&lt;/p&gt;
