I tried fitting my old clothes and some of them don’t fit well anymore. My shorts are tighter because of my quads. My cardigans are tighter as well because of my biceps/triceps. 

I don’t know how I feel about this. I know I got fitter over the summer. I feel very much lighter and healthier. I guess I just didn’t think my weight training would work out this well.

Anyone got the same problem as me?

WEAK

One week away from the gym really took a toll on my body. My knees were shaking while I was doing squats. I feel so fucking weak! And it might take me another week to exercise again. I’m torn between hitting the gym or making the most out of my summer T__T

On the upside, I didn’t gain any weight from my cheat week! :D beer, soda, milk tea, etc. thank you weight training!!

I’ll try to update this more frequently. Hope all of you are feeling fit and sexy this summer! :)

SICK

It was a good that I decided on pushing through with my workout today. It felt awesome. My nose wasn’t runny at all. My throat was still itchy but I felt fine. Yaay! Good thing I read all those online articles saying that I should be just fine exercising if   the sickness is found from the neck up. Made me guilty as hell so I hit the gym instead of bumming around the house for another day.

Do you exercise even when you’re sick?

My nose is runny and my throat is itchy. I’m certainly not in the mood to hit the gym tomorrow. I already skipped on my workout today and skipping another workout would just make me feel guilty :|

I hate hate hate this. I wish I was just magically better tomorrow.

What did you eat for breakfast?

a bowl of sugar, a glass of milk and a piece of banana (if ever there’s banana around). and a cup of coffee when I need a little boost in the morning.

How much water do you drink each day?

I actually don’t know D: 

What is your current favorite workout?

interval training is <3 less time on the machine, but more sweat. I can go crazy in the treadmill with this one.

How many calories do you eat each day?

I actually don’t know either :)) But the last time I checked I was at 1400-1500. My diet doesn’t change that much whenever I’m not on vacation or I’m not stressed with school so that’s probably an average for me. 

What are your favorite healthy snacks?

Oh god, peanuts. I always eat peanuts after a workout, although my mom told me to cut back because it can cause pimples. Boo, huhu. Any thoughts on that? and oh yea, mangoes and bananas too. 

What do you usually eat for lunch?

Lunch is different for me almost every day. I always make sure I eat meals high in protein and low in fat though. Also, I don’t eat rice anymore, so whenever I can I just replace my carb intake with bread, noodles or even puto (a Filipino delicacy). 

What is your favorite body part to train?

My legs. I love staring at my legs whenever I workout. It’s so vain of me, I know but I just love how my quads, hamstrings and calves show whenever I’m flexing :>

What is your least favorite body part to train?

Least favorite body part…Uhm my shoulders? I hate doing front raises, lateral raises or any kinds of raises actually. Also, I almost injured my rotator cuffs the other week so yes, my shoulders are a bitch. 

What are your “bad” food cravings?

Coffee!! I don’t like brewed coffee so I opt for ones that are filled with sugar :| This is always my cheat drink. And I don’t know what to do about it :(

Do you take vitamins or supplements?

Occasionally, when my mom makes me. I’m lazy and forgetful so I often skip taking them :))

How often do you eat out?

Oh god. Every lunch whenever I hit the gym because I have to wait for my parents to finish their work. If they have to work late, I end up eating dinner outside as well *sigh*

Do you eat fast food?

I try not to. I’m not big on fast foods, especially now that I’m on summer break with my parents. I only eat in fast food chains whenever I’m broke but I can last for a month without it. It’s no biggie. 

Who is your biggest supporter?

My sister most likely. We’re both health and gym rats and she was a student-athlete so she tells me whenever my form is wrong and she gives suggestions for my workouts. She tells me if I’m eating too much already and I tell her when she’s workout out too little :))

Do you have a gym membership?

Yes, I do. When I’m back in school, I have free access to our dorm gym as well so I’m quite lucky, though I’m thinking of enrolling to the Gold’s Gym near our dorm for the yoga classes. 

How many hours of sleep do you get each night?

Seven when I know I have to workout the next day. Eight to ten when I don’t lol.

Do you have a “cheat” day?

I don’t think I have a cheat day. Probably when I’m on vacation, those are my cheat days. 

Do you drink alcohol?

OH YES, I DO. This summer I’ve been good to my body though so I haven’t had a drop of alcohol in me for three months already. Doubt it’s gonna last for long though cuz of all the sem starters we’re planning already :))

Do you have a workout buddy?

I guess my mom’s my workout buddy, even though we don’t workout together :)) My mom works out in the morning, like I do. My dad doesn’t workout regularly because of his hectic schedule. My sister works out sometimes with us but she has to go with my dad to work so she’s only around when my dad is. They workout together in the afternoon or night whenever they can. 

What is the best thing that has changed about your life since committing to a healthy lifestyle?

Probably that light feeling. Idk how to describe it. Even when I can’t see it in the scales yet, I feel like I’m light and I can do anything. Just that feeling that you’re body is clean and flushed from toxins is awesome <3

What was the last healthy thing you did?

I went to the gym even if I’m on my period and I absolutely dreaded being there when all I wanted was to crawl in my bed and sleep the whole day T__T
